The climb begins at La Daille, heading towards Pointe de Picheru, a steep section that will take you up to the Grande Sassière Nature Reserve. ⛰️ The route continues through the typical village of Le Fornet, before tackling the legendary ascent of the Col de l’Iseran, the highest paved pass in the Alps! After one final effort, you’ll finally reach Val d’Isère and the finish line! 🏁

Registration for the Trail des 5 Cols entitles you to :

  • At refuelling points
  • A hot finisher’s meal with entertainment

  • One shower ticket for the Aquasportif Center, subject to availability. Pick up your ticket with your race number at the info point in the partners’ village.
  • Event timing and safety
  • A medal (supplement of 6 euros at registration)

You can register for the Trail des 5 Cols until midnight on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

No on-site registrations or changes for the Trail des 5 Cols.

Race bibs for the High Trail Vanoise will be available for pickup at the Trail Village, next to the “Solaise Gondola. Bags will be checked when race numbers are collected.

Withdrawal times are as follows:

  • Friday 10/07: 3:00 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday 11/07: 7:00 am – 7:30 am

Two starting zones will be set up for the 5 Cols Trail race:

Check-in Area 1: Bib numbers 1001 through 1300

SAS 2: bib numbers 1301 through 1600

1st refreshment point (full) : Le Fornet – 16 km, 1375 d+ climb

2nd feed station (full): Restaurant la Cascade – 23.5 km, 2250 d+ (altitude)

The time limits have been calculated to give you the best possible chance of finishing the race, and have been pushed back as far as possible. No runner will be allowed to continue the race beyond these precise times (zero tolerance) for obvious reasons of safety, organization and to be able to finish within the 09:30 race time limit. The organization therefore advises you to manage your race with a certain margin in relation to these barriers to finish in good conditions.
