It is not possible to reach Val d’Isère directly by train. The nearest station is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, easily accessible from many towns via the SNCF rail network. Once in Bourg, there are several options for getting up to Val d’Isère:

How to get to Val d’Isère by bus
To get to Val d’Isère by public transport, the first step is to arrive in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

CAR
The road to Val d’Isère is easily accessible. Good news! The Saut tunnel to Val d’Isère is finally fully reopened without restrictions (day and night).
To optimize your travels, you can also consider carpooling, an economical and user-friendly solution.
PARKING
We recommend that you park inthe Daille, Manchet or Face parking lots. The center parking lot may not be accessible on the first weekend (July 5-6), but will be accessible on the second weekend (July 12-13). The resort provides free shuttle buses to take you easily to the center. Please check the shuttle timetable before you arrive.
